I work with a range of artists and teams to create new performance works.

In my plays I want to make works for performance that grapple with the world, engage deeply with ideas, investigate language, and entertain audiences.

Theatre is a form that can - and must - respond to the world as it is right now. Theatre can be immediate, powerful and visceral.

Because theatre is itself a construct that relies on a social system in order to operate, it is also the perfect forum via which to question and explode broader social and political systems.

Much of my writing for theatre uses metaphoric worlds to pull away at structures both big and small, from capitalism to gender relations, social order to personal security.
