Mad Women Monologues

I have two monologues included in Baggage Productions Mad Women Monologues season.

23 monologues, 16 directors and 23 actors over three nights.

'Dust on the Hill' is part of Crossroads on Sunday 20th November.

'Hello my astonished friend' is part of Barflies on Tuesday 22nd November.

Great way to get work out there into the world. Thanks to the fabulous team at Baggage Productions.

Page Seventeen Issue 9 - Launch

Attended the Page Seventeen Issue 9 Launch on Saturday 19th November. The room at Watsonia Library was full and buzzy. Issue launched with aplomb by Alec Patric.

My story 'The Other Guy' was shortlisted for the short story comp (judged by Tiggy Johnson) and my poem 'The space between' was runner up in the poetry comp (judged by Wendy Fleming).

Thanks Beau, Blaise and everyone who helps make Page Seventeen happen!

This new piece of theatre: Maybe we're never together, created by me and Kate Hunter opens this week as part of the Big West Festival

Asked by a journalist for 3 words to describe the show, I said:

Unexpected. Funny. Thought provoking.

Sure, that's four words.

Like me - this is a show that pushes boundaries and breaks the rules.

Story Time at Schoolhouse Studios

Did this great gig at Story Time at Schoolhouse Studios along with wonderful writers Nathan Curnow, Jessica Au, Sam Rutter and Tony Birch. Our hosts were delightful, we were fed and watered sitting out in their beautiful garden and then read our stories in the Schoolhouse studio. Great vibe. Thanks Story Time peeps!

Your Looking Eyes - book launch

The day has come. Your Looking Eyes will be launched into the world this afternoon by Chris Flynn. I'll be reading a few poems, the book will be for sale, we'll have wine to drink and some Turkish treats to eat, and the inimitable Amy Bodossian is our special guest performer.

Had a great time talking to Yusur, host of Inverse on Radio Monash - poetry and spoken word show. Miki was not able to be there, so Yusur and I talked poetry, creative processes, Melbourne, Overload Poetry Festival and about my Cafe Poet in Residence at c3 gallery and upcoming launch of Your Looking Eyes.
